Private recipients

An email address is personal data, so Klik treats it differently from a public handle.

• It is masked everywhere in public: a page shows n•••@example.com, never the address.
• It never appears in a URL. The page address is a keyed hash, and launch links carry an email in the URL fragment, which is not sent to any server.
• It is never suggested or searchable by part. A private recipient is only found by typing the whole address.
• Its page is kept out of search indexes and the sitemap.
• The owner is emailed once, when the first fees arrive, with the claim link and a do-not-contact option. Never again unless they claim.
